Hey, That's My Home Town!

I love that line from Police Squad, where Frank Drebin, playing a stand up comedian, asks a member of the audience where he comes from and is told "Baltimore" - whereupon Drebin instantly replies "Say, that's my home town!"; then turning to another audience member and asking the same question gets the reply "Wisconsin" to which Drebin exclaims "Say, that's my home town!" ;-) The names of the cities may have been changed (due to the shocking lack of Police Squad stuff on the web and my shocking memory) but the joke's the same. What a great show that was. To the point then: the BBC are currently airing a second series of Coast, which takes us on a tour of various stretches of this sceptered isles extremities; one of the towns covered in their last program was Saltburn-by-the-sea - hey, you guessed it, that's my home town! It's funny how good our little town looks when the BBC point their fancy cameras at it (though the Scottish presenter is a tad annoying). And whilst we're talking about Saltburn getting all this exposure: wonder whether Dr Patrick will spare us a look from outer space next week?
